Trestle is a refurbisher in Michigan. We buy used equipment outright, test it, grade it against a published scale, and sell it direct — so the description you read is written by the people who actually opened the box.

Why we sell direct
The same device listed on a marketplace carries the platform’s fees, and those fees come out of somewhere — usually the price you pay or the amount of work the seller can afford to put into checking the unit.
Selling from our own shop removes that layer. It also means the listing is ours: we can publish a grading scale, print a measured battery figure, and stand behind both, rather than competing on who writes the most flattering two-word condition description.
What happens to every unit
It gets wiped and factory reset. Ports, keyboard, screen, speakers, cameras and wireless are function-tested. Battery capacity is measured on a meter rather than read from the operating system, because the operating system is often optimistic.
Then one person looks at the casing under good light and assigns a grade. The same person writes the cosmetic note. If a mark is big enough to notice, it goes in the description whether or not it affects anything.
The grading scale
Four grades. All of them describe appearance only — everything we sell works.
- Open box
- Opened but never used. Original packaging and accessories included.
- Grade A — Excellent
- No wear visible at arm's length. Screen free of scratches.
- Grade B — Good
- Light scratches on the housing. Nothing you notice in normal use.
- Grade C — Fair
- Visible scratches or small dents. Cosmetic only — works perfectly.
What we will not do
No countdown timers that reset on reload. No “only 2 left” when there are two hundred. No calling a scratched unit “mint” and hoping the buyer does not bother returning it.
And no stock photos passed off as the unit you are buying. Where a listing shows the actual device, it says so.

Anywhere in the United States. Free shipping on orders over $99 within the contiguous states; Alaska, Hawaii and international destinations are quoted at checkout.
Michigan sales tax is applied to orders delivered in Michigan. Orders to other states are taxed according to where we are registered to collect.
